Angela Green

Angela has been involved in cheerleading for 25 years and has won numerous titles as an athlete, Director and Head Coach of Ascension Eagles Cheerleaders. Her expertise in coaching and choreography have taken her across the world judging and competing in places as far afield as Germany, France, Finland, Slovenia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and the USA. She also coached the first UK team to get a bid to the Cheerleading World Championships in 2005.

Since its inception Angela has been a driving the development of SportCheer England, as well as co-managed and co-coached the English National team for the ICU Cheerleading World Championships. She is a multiple medal winner achieving 2 Bronze, 2 Silver and 5 gold medals.

In 2011, Angela was recognised by the Queen at Buckingham Palace for services to young people, and in 2018 Angela was recipient of the ICU International coach of the year award- a testament to all the work she has done to help make Team England a force on the international stage.
